No. Groovepede works without any account. Connecting Spotify is optional — it lets you sync your queue to a private Spotify playlist so it’s backed up and accessible across devices.
It marks the album as listened: the card leaves your queue and your listened count goes up. There’s no undo — if you tap it by mistake, paste the link again to put the album back.
Not every album exists on every service. When an album isn’t on your preferred one, the button names the service it will open instead — it never switches silently. You can change your preferred service under “Listen on” in your profile.
Yes. Profile → Export queue downloads a JSON file containing every album, and Import queue loads it back on any device (it replaces that device’s queue). Connecting Spotify additionally mirrors your queue into a private playlist.
Your queue does — it’s stored on your device and the app is a PWA, so it opens and browses offline. Adding a new album needs a connection to look the link up; add one while offline and the link is saved, then resolves by itself once you’re back.
Entirely in your browser’s localStorage. Nothing leaves your device. You can export a backup JSON from the profile at any time.
